Central region-based high life singer Rastimo has opined that it is not necessary to bring Azonto back.
According to him in an interview with wysepromotions.com, he suggested high life should rather be revived not azonto.
“We don’t need Azonto back. What we need to revive is high life because it’s our own. Azonto is even a dance and not a genre. Bring high life back and not azonto”, he suggested.
Azonto is a dance that originated from Ghana and later spread to the rest of the world. Recently Sarkodie released a song with Tulenkey titled “Fa Hooki Me” and after he suggested that Azonto should be brought back.
Currently there is ongoing debate on whether azonto should be brought back or not.
