President of the 4th republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has declared a 7 days mourning after being officially informed about the demise of the 1st president of the 4th republic Jerry John Rawlings.
Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo in a press statement , declared 7 days of mourning to all well wishing Ghanaians from the Friday 13th November to Friday 20th November,2020 in honour of the memory of the former president Flt Leut Jerry John Rawlings.
Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo also stated in the press release that he has ordered all Ghana flags across the country to fly mid way in respect to the memory of former president Jerry John Rawlings.
He also added that he has halted all campaign activities for the same period and the government will be in accordance with the family to give the former president a befitting burial like a president.
