VIDEO: MUSIGA President Calls For Support From The General Public

Acting President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Mr Bessa Simons has called on all musicians and the general public to support the aged, sick and vulnerable musicians in the union by donating to them.

He disclosed this in an exclusive interview with Tinalove on 6th MAY 2020.

Mr Simons stated that, looking at how the Coronavirus pandemic has taken over the globe, it has affected the music business and has made a lot of programs cancelled, affecting musicians especially those who depend solely on the music for their survival.

“Musiga has taken these bold steps to help those in need in this crucial era” he added.

According to Mr Simons, the union has Offices in all the regions in Ghana so they are looking forward to soliciting more funds to donate to all the 16 regions.

He again commended female singer Ssue who is the first to donate to Musiga in this Covid-19 era.

Ssue donated bags of rice, hand sanitizers, face masks, boxes of soaps, toiletries, boxes of sardines and many more.

Mr Simons again advised all media houses and DJs to play Coronavirus songs composed by musicians free to educate the public on the pandemic and urge all citizens to adhere to preventive measures to fight this virus.
