Singer and producer Danny Beatz has cautioned his fans that Coronavirus also known as Covid 19 is real so they should stay safe.
He gave this advice in a new social media post sighted by wysepromotions.com.
“COVID-19 is real FAMILY…. kindly follow the instructions given out to save urself and loved ones”, he posted.

ETV’s presenter, blogger and Happy FM’s producer, Mercy Bee has blasted AMG Music boss Criss Waddle for asking people of Asante Akyem South not to vote for Bice Osei Kuffour a.k.a Obour.
Criss Waddle in a tweet said; “Pls don’t vote this guy, he’s a waste of time and a selfish person. Stomach politician”.
Reacting to this, Mercy Bee has called Criss Waddle hypocrite for not supporting an industry person who wants to go to parliament since that has been the wish of the Ghanaian showbiz industry.

Kofi Kinaata, the ‘things fall apart’ hitmaker has added his voice to the ongoing sensitization and education of the populace about the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
“We all enjoyed in 2019 during the year of return, but now we’re faced with this predicament and that’s what it is.
Let’s all abide by the interventions put up by the government to salvage the situation. Students who are now home should read indoors and avoid handshake with their colleagues for the meantime.
Let’s enhance our personal hygiene and keep our environment clean. Let’s all stay safe and healthy because life is precious”, he said.
Speaking during a celebrity interview with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central in Cape Coast, Kofi Kinaata counted his losses emanating from Covid 19.
“It has affected everything not only musicians. Even churches have been closed down. My show in the USA has been cancelled.
This upcoming Easter celebrations at Kwahu is our cocoa season where we can make some money is also off and now we don’t go to the studio to record songs because it’s not safe with the gadgets”.
When asked by Amansan Krakye if the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2020 should go ahead irrespective of the Coronavirus scare, the 2-time VGMA songwriter of the year award winner and currently artiste of the year nominee, said
“Social gatherings are now dangerous to our health and safety. I’m not sure Grammys and some big awards and events will proceed if the disease persists, even EPL has been suspended.
Human life is more valuable than anything else so if the Covid 19 doesn’t end soon then it won’t make sense to go ahead with the VGMA, I won’t even perform if I’m billed to do so”.

Radio host and media personality Dr Pounds had prophesied that fast-rising Bono East region female artiste Abbi Ima will take the Ghanaian music industry by storm.
Dr Pounds made this statement in an interview with Abbi Imma on Hitz FM’s Hitz Gallery.

According to Dr. Pounds he doesn’t just make statements or even endorse artistes but Abbi Ima is talent filled and will blow.

Legendary high life singer Kojo Antwi has advised Ghanaians to pay attention to songs that comfort the soul, because music is a medicine.
He was speaking as a panelist at a roundtable on “Sustaining a distinctive Ghanaian Musical Identity in a Globalised Musical Mix” at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
The roundtable formed part of a 14-day Workshop and activities of the sixth biannual Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) Graduate School’s ‘Performing Sustainability’, Culture and Development in West Africa at UCC.
“The kind of music we download, the kind of music we play, the support and attention given to them help in sustaining that kind of music and they have effects on us. Music is medicine so be careful what you give attention to,” he said.
Kojo Antwi added that Ghanaian and African musicians should compose and produce good songs that will have positive impact on the country and community.
Reggae and dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has commended Ghana Police Service for the security they have given Ghanaian artistes under the NPP government.
In a Twitter post he said;
“I think through this Government Ghana police has really given Ghanaian artiste the best of protection …..IGP I hail you”, he posted.
Akosua Adjepong has revealed that female artistes are paid less when it comes to performing at shows because of gender inequality.
Speaking in an interview on Onua FM’s Anigye Mmr3 with Christian Agyei Frimpong, she bemoaned that the female musicians in the Ghanaian music industry are not treated right.
“We are sometimes paid half the money the men are paid because of the gender inequality for shows, before a lady can get full payment or deserving money for her performance then she has a very strong manager and management team”, she disclosed.
“We the elderly woman in the industry who do live band are the ones giving deserving money for our performance”, she added.
