Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) has released nominations list and Ghana has scored 17 nominations.
Among the nominees are 4 actors chosen for different categories for their roles in their films. Joselyn Dumas who plays Omoye, the wife of a retired army officer (Jim Iyke) in Cold Feet was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Adjetey Annang got a nomination for the Best Actor in Supporting Role award for his role in Gold Coast Lounge.
Alphonse Menyo was also nominated in the Best Actor in Leading Role category for Pascal Aka’s Gold Coast Lounge
Singer Cina Soul has earned her first AMAA nomination for Best Young/Promising Actor. She plays Ama in the critically acclaimed film Gold Coast Lounge.
Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s Perfect Picture: Ten Years Later received 3 nods – Achievement in Screenplay, Editing and Production Design.
Gold Coast Lounge’s Director Pascal Aka was also nominated for Best Director and the movie for Best Film.
The movie also earned 4 other nominations including Achievement in Cinematography, Achievement in Soundtrack, Achievement in Production Design and Achievement in Sound.
The film, Heroes of Africa; Tetteh Quarshie also received 3 nominations namely Achievement in Soundtrack, Achievement in Visual Effect and Achievement in Costume Design.
