Chief Executive Officer of Charterhouse, organizers of Vodafone Music Awards, Mrs Theresa Ayoade has disclosed that the 21st edition of VGMA is slated for August 2020 with a live audience.
“The challenges of putting together logistics and not being sure of expected revenue is a real issue. In normal times, we will have been able to sell up to 4,000 tickets in VGMA-related events, but it is not so now,” she said.
Mrs Ayoade disclosed that she and her team came to this conclusion when the president Nana Akufo Addo eased the restrictions in the country and as organizers, Charterhouse is looking into making use of the digital space and the new guidelines provided by the Tourism Ministry.
Mrs Ayoade stated that she can confidently say unlike the 3Music Awards , VGMA 2020 will be with live audiences with the needed social distancing and preparations have gone into making that Ghanaian artistes who can’t make it join the awards ceremony virtual.
Mrs Theresa Ayoade stated with much confidence and zeal that by August she and her team will give Ghanaians a spectacular show of the 2020 Vodafone Music Awards despite the current situation.
