VGMA Must Respect Artistes Because We Give Them Money – Shatta Wale

Ghanaian dancehall singer Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr known in showbiz as Shatta Wale has asked awards schemes in Ghana to respect and appreciation to the artistes because they are making money out of them.

Speaking in an interview on Onua FM Anigye Mmr3 with Christian Agyei Frimpong, he advised the organizers to show them respect because if not for the musicians they will not organize such events to even make money or profits out of the events.

“I would appreciate it if the awards schemes show us the musicians the much needed respect because it’s because of us they are organizing these events and making money and profits from us not themselves”, he disclosed.

Shatta Wale was reacting to the comment by Theresa Ayoade CEO of Charterhouse when she asked Ghanaians to rise above him and Stonebwoy and move forward.
