Controversial member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has left the nation in a state of confusion when he disclosed that his salary as MP can’t provide for his two wives.
Kennedy Agyapong made this disclosure on the Morning Agenda on Atinka TV.
“I receive GHC11,000 as salary [But] I pay chop money of GHC20,000 to each of my two wives so if I am being paid an amount of GHC 11,000, how would I’ve lived on this amount of money? If I did not have investments I would have broken down by now. I take care of my constituents and even other constituents because I’ve invested and I’ve other businesses,” he said.
Kennedy Agyapong added that a lot of his colleague MPs are broke because they solely depend on parliament and now they are calling for more contracts to be awarded to companies of MPs so they can make money.
